Clos Marey-Monge Nicolas-Joseph 2020

With a deep ruby color, our Nicolas-Joseph 2020 reveals a nose marked by ripe black fruit, including blackcurrant and blackberry. The palate confirms the aromatic profile and unveils notes of cinnamon and clove. With its silky, persistent tannins, this round and full-bodied Pommard can be enjoyed today, but will reach its peak in the next decade.

Our Nicolas-Joseph cuvée is produced from vines growing on flat limestone rocks with red clay. We obtain a fleshy, complex Pinot Noir with intense red fruits and sweet, silky tannins.

Hand-harvested organic grapes, hand-sorted on a vibrating table. 75% whole-cluster. Placed into stainless steel fermentation vats by gravity flow. Long maceration over several weeks, minimal pumping-over and punching-down. Pressing in pneumatic press. Placed in French oak barrels for aging on fine lees.
