New distribution deal with Broadbent Selections

Château de Pommard enters United States Trade Market Through Partnership with Broadbent Selections.

Château de Pommard has signed a distribution agreement with renowned importer, Broadbent Selections. Through this partnership, both teams will work hand in hand to ensure the Burgundian property’s exceptional cuvées are available on the country’s best dining tables and at carefully selected retail locations.

“We are delighted to enter this new partnership with Broadbent Selections,” says Benoit Daury, Director of Trade at Château de Pommard. “The United States is a strategic market where we want to strengthen Château de Pommard’s presence, and Broadbent Selections is the right partner to match our ambitions. We are pleased to begin this new adventure with them, and I look forward to the upcoming long-term business cooperation.”

Founded in 1996 by Bartholomew Broadbent, Broadbent Selections was named one of the top 5 US importers by Wine Enthusiast (2005 and 2019). The prestigious importer works exclusively with family-owned wineries, focusing on the people and places on top of the quality of the wines they represent. It represents prestigious wineries such as Domaine Georges Vernay in France and Château Musar in Lebanon. Broadbent Selections offers an impressive network of clients across the United States.

With the recent organic certification and biodynamic conversion underway, the wines produced by Château de Pommard have already caught the attention of select hotels, restaurants, and wine bars across Europe and Asia. Today, the wines are available in the world’s finest establishments, such as Pierre Gagnaire* and Georges Blanc  in France, The Fat Duck in the UK, L’Atelier Joël Robuchon in Shanghai, and Inter Scaldes*** in the Netherlands.

“When I mentioned to friends in the wine world - especially to Burgundy lovers - that we were working on representing esteemed Château de Pommard, there were gasps of incredulity and delight,” says Bartholomew Broadbent, CEO of Broadbent Selections. “Everyone is impressed by Château de Pommard and under the dynamic leadership of Michael Baum and his winemaking team, the wines are the best they’ve ever been! When such an iconic brand considers appointing a national importer it can take years of discussions. They must have faith in the import company and be convinced. What helps the selection process is when the importer in question already represents some of the world’s most iconic brands. And though it did take several years, we are thrilled that Château de Pommard has agreed to join our family of great wineries.”
